Alanya is a great and very famous resort on the Turkish Riviera. During the season, they are visited by millions of sunbathers, which leads to huge crowds on the beaches. The advantage of such beaches is, of course, extensive infrastructure – toilets, showers, bars, the possibility of buying various water attractions, water bikes, scooters and other contraptions.

In Alanya, the most popular beach among tourists is of course the famous Cleopatra Beach.

Cleopatra Beach is a famous beach in Turkey and is one of the most famous attractions in Alanya. Of course, there are also other attractions such as caves, Kale Castle, and the port. But it is Cleopatra’s Beach that is very often the reason why tourists choose to vacation in Alanya.

Cleopatra Beach is not a sandy beach. It is a pebble beach with fine gravel with a steeper descent and clear blue water.
It is 2.5 kilometers long and is extremely picturesque.
The most beautiful part of it is the one near the Damlataş cave. The water is clearly clear there, and most importantly, you can easily enter the sea.
It is a public beach and anyone can enter it at no extra charge. Only sun loungers and umbrellas are payable, but they are not compulsory. So if you come to the beach with your own blanket, you can use it.
There are many eateries where you can buy alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and food.

🔹 According to the legend, it was here that the beautiful Cleopatra met Mark Antony and took a bath. Apparently, Mark Antony, who created this beach for her, brought sand from Egypt on purpose.

2. Damlataş Beach

Damlatas Beach is a 10-minute walk from the beautiful Damlatas Caves. What makes this beach special is the fact that it is the only wheelchair-friendly beach in Alanya. There are plenty of sun loungers, showers and easy access to the sea for people with disabilities. There are also volleyball, tennis and basketball courts, an outdoor fitness center and a huge playground for children. In addition to swimming in the sea, you can snorkel in the bay, snorkel along the coast or paraglide and watch the dramatic coast from above. You can also just take a walk in the green parks with fountains along the beach or cool off in the Damlatas Caves, where you can see unique stalactites and stalagmites.

Keikubat Beach is a sandy beach located on the eastern side of the historic peninsula. but be careful of the numerous slippery large stones at the entrance. The beach is popular for its numerous parks and tourist facilities nearby.

The beach also has water equipment rentals and numerous beach cafes.

4.Portakal Beach – Orange

It is a kilometer long sandy public beach with clear blue water and a pebble seabed, located just a 10-minute drive east of Alanya city center. It is less crowded than some of Alanya’s more popular beaches, meaning you can enjoy the sea views with the Taurus Mountain in the background. Adrenaline lovers engage in a wide range of water sports, including water skiing and windsurfing. There are cafes, restaurants and standard beach amenities, and you can rent sun loungers (or freely use them as a guest at nearby beach clubs). Even in the low season, in October and November, the sea water remains pleasantly warm for swimming. The entrance to the sea can be rocky, so please wear sea shoes before entering the water.
